85-hour Pre and Postnatal Teacher Training.
April 2025.
With Eleonor Spring at Yagoy.
This course provided an evidence-based approach to teaching yoga to pre- and post-natal students.
The curriculum provided a thorough understanding of pregnancy: the process of fertilization, the three trimesters, birth, and postpartum recovery, key medical milestones students will encounter, common pregnancy complications, pregnancy loss, including miscarriage, termination for medical reasons, and stillbirth and what qualifies as a healthy, low-risk pregnancy.
I learned pre- and postnatal anatomy and physiology as relates to a physical yoga practice, teaching methodology to structure pre-and postnatal classes and props and hands-on adjustments for pregnant and postpartum students.
